Christmas animating

At last I’ve started animating again… the last animation I worked on was all the way back in 2019 – not sure how or why Covid seems to have impacted my animating mojo, but it did.

A still from this year’s Folksy Christmas animation – 2021

I’ve just finished Folksy’s Christmas animation and a series of whimsical shorts for their #12daysoffolksy challenge on Instagram which you can find on their Instagram account here:

You can find the full Folksy animation on their home page here: or on my dedicated stop motion Pinterest page:

The stop motion animation features three mice and a robin created by the extraordinarily talented Mandy at Mish Mash Mosh as well as ceramics from Lucy and Jane ceramics and glass tree from Kat at Glass and Light Studio, the etched tags and letter ‘F’ were created by Hannah at Etchable Laser Design – all these makers can be found on Folksy.

Music for the animation was created by my talented (and ukulele obsessed) husband Steve Warren (you can find more of his music here:

Unlike the previous animation I created for Folksy (Mr Mouse and his handmade house) there is less of a story and instead we tried to encapsulate what Folksy is all about – handmade, artisan craft in a range of materials that are a more eco-friendly and sustainable option for Christmas shoppers.

Now that I have my animating mojo back I plan on making a series of very short animations about mental health that are intended to be shared on social media and I already have something else in the pipeline for Spring… so watch this space!
